
Our Policies, for a Comfortable, Inclusive, and Enjoyable Experience
At Studio Misfits, we’re proud to be an inclusive space designed to welcome and support everyone. When you book an appointment, you’re also agreeing to our Terms and Conditions, Terms of Sale, Cancellation Policy, and Personal Conduct guidelines. We encourage you to take a quick look through these before your visit — it helps keep things smooth, fair, and stress-free, so we can focus on giving you the best experience possible.
Our T&C’s:
Deposits
Due to high demand for appointments and too many no-shows, a deposit will be required for all appointments.
A 50% deposit of your booking will need to be processed to confirm your booking.
This deposit will come out of your appointment on the day of your service or can be put toward your next rebooking.
Deposits are non-refundable if your appointment is cancelled.

As a neurodiverse catering salon, we understand the anxiety making a phone call can cause, so simply text us.

Discovery Dates
When unsure of what you want to book with us, we welcome you to book a 15 minute Discovery Date
with one of our stylists.
This will cover not only what your vision is in regards to your hair, but will also let us know
about any requirements you may need to ensure your Studio experience is comfortable, safe and tailored to you.
We offer a multitude of tailored services to assist with sensory accommodations such as:
low heat, low touch, and no talk options that we can discuss further during the Discovery Date.
As part of our commitment to being accessible to everyone, you are welcome to come in-person to the Studio,
or book in a 15 minute consult via zoom by request.
Discovery Dates are Priced $15 for a Reserved Time of 15 Minutes.
Minors
At Studio Misfits, we are proud to create a space that is inclusive, supportive, and welcoming to all.
We cater to guests of all ages and with all needs, and we recognise the stigma and judgement that people with higher needs can face in public spaces.
Here, you will always find a safe environment — free from negativity, judgment and full of acceptance.
On your discovery date we can discuss everything we can do to ensure everyone is welcome, comfortable and cared for at all times.
If you have any issues at all during your appointment, please alert the attention of any team member present.
There is never a need to “suffer in silence”, we are here to change the industry standard and
do everything in our power to make our services accessible to everyone within our space to the best of our abilities.
Any guest under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
Please make sure they respect the Studio space, our team, and other clients.
We offer a variety of fidgets, hands-on activities, and toys on-site during our appointments,
but children are still the responsibility of their parent or guardian at all times.
Please help us keep the Studio safe and calm for everyone.
All payments are final.
Parents or guardians must be responsible for any quotes, approvals, or payments to the Studio on behalf of a minor.
Studio Misfits is not responsible for any payments or agreements made directly by a minor,
including if a parent or guardian chooses not to be present at the time of quoting, any service adjustments, or overall payment.
Animal policy
We welcome all animal visitors; Especially service animals!
All visiting animals must remain under the full care and supervision of their owner, and be kept on a lead or otherwise controlled while visiting the Studio’s premises.
Animal visitors are welcome to and encouraged to explore our quiet outdoor area.
We are a gated space, however, the Studio cannot guarantee the complete security of the outdoor or indoor spaces.
Owners are fully responsible for the safety, health and wellbeing of their animals while visiting Studio Misfits,
including any incidents, injuries, accidents or vet related incidences within the salon grounds
Please also remember that not everyone is comfortable around animals, or may have a sensitivity or/and allergy. We ask all owners to be respectful and considerate to everyone present, so the Studio remains an inclusive, progressive and welcoming space for everyone.
Support People/Carers
We encourage you to bring a support person with you to make our shared time more comfortable and enjoyable.
Even if you have a carer with you,
you are welcome to bring a separate support person if that will make you feel more supported.
However, we are a smaller Studio balancing a low stim environment for all present clients.
Please Limit any Supporting Attendees, to Two Attendees or Less.
This way, we can ensure that we remain low stim for all our clients visiting our salon as much as possible.
Cancellation Policy
A confirmation text/email will be sent to you 4 days prior to your scheduled appointment as a friendly reminder.
If you wish to re-schedule, we are happy do so.
You Must Contact us with a minimum of 48 hours’ Notice
to ensure that your deposit will be able to be transferred with your re-scheduled appointment.
Less than 48 hours notice for any changes to your appointment will result in
Your Deposit Being Forfeited.
All reschedules and cancellations must be confirmed by the Studio during our regular operating hours.
Contact made outside of operating hours will not be accepted within the 48-hour notice period and will be responded to during the next business day.
Parking
There is 2 hour street parking available on the same street as the salon, and found on the parallel on the other side of the road.
For longer appointments, please keep a two hour reminder to move your vehicle to avoid getting a parking ticket.
If you require disabled parking, please contact the Studio prior to your Scheduled Appointment,
and we can organise a parking space right in front of the salon for your best convenience.
Parking and following the parking signed restrictions off the Studio’s Premises, is the sole responsibility of the client.
Any parking or other tickets incurred is the responsibility of the recipient, and not of Studio Misfits.
Sustainable Salon
Our commitment to being environmentally conscious means we have now become a sustainable salon.
This gives us the ability to recycle the large majority of our salon products,
including the hair we cut, and many other salon daily resources!
As a part of this initiative and to support sustainable salons,
A $3 green fee is added onto every service.
